# Arda: A StableETF for Global Flourishing

**Arda** is a vision to evolve crypto from being a tool for individual gain into a mechanism that drives the world's flourishing. The Arda StableETF ecosystem does not exist to facilitate commerce, power DeFi, or encourage speculation on price actions. Instead, to own ARDA share tokens is both to make a statement about the state of world and to have an active stake in its evolution.

At the most basic level, we do this by **linking** the price of ARDA share tokens to data related to **human flourishing, social cohesion, and global wellbeing.** As the world grows happier, kinder, freer and healthier, the price of ARDA share tokens rises; when the the world is in pain and stumbles on this path, the share token prices fall. The pillars of Web3: tokenization and decentralization, will be the mechanisms by which the Arda community **collates** resources and **directs** them towards efforts that drive the change we collectively choose to support.&#x20;

Our goal with the Arda StableETF is to **quantify** and **champion** the progress our global community makes towards a better shared future.&#x20;

How could this look in practice? Leveraging the power of **decentralization** and **collective action**, the Arda StableETF ecosystem organized as a DAO, would have planetary-scale firepower to combat global hunger, fund the search for life-changing medicines, fight destructive deforestation, and finance the lobbying of governments for positive social change.&#x20;

A decentralized Arda community would have the power to translate the will of the collective community into **real change in the real world.**

This is a turbulent time in Web3 in which trust has been shattered. We are aware of this and seek to be **trustless but not untrustworthy**. Arda will accept **no outside institutional funding of any kind**.

The rest of this whitepaper lays out our vision for an underlying concept that we believe can change the relationship between **technology** and **human sociopolitical expression**. The current tool we are looking to use combines the TradFi concept of an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) with the DeFi concept of a stablecoin. However, we are not wedded to the means by which we achieve these goals. Over the long-term, our aim is to lean on the collective intelligence of a community to drive the evolution of what we outline in these pages.&#x20;
