The definition of health & nutrition challenges varies widely across the globe. Malnourishment is the main concern for many in developing nations, while developed nations struggle primarily with obesity and its associated health repercussions. Both categories of nutrition challenges can be labelled as *malnutrition*.

Nutrition improvement commitments made at the N4G summits can be split into two general categories: those that concern Maternal, Infant, and Young Children (MICYN) and those that concern Non-Communicable Disease (NCD)
